As part of the former Hoechst, our fiber experience started more than 50 years ago with the development of fibers from imperfect substitutes to high quality materials in their own right, properties that nature could not offer. Today we are combining our chemistry knowledge and fiber experience to develop high-performance products for your specific demands.
The research and development, product application, and technical sales are located in Reinach, Switzerland. Furthermore, we are operating from different competence centers all over the world. With our standard formulations we cover all applications for primary and secondary spinning as well as coning and knitting oils.
For your special application, we develop your customized formulations in our modern research laboratories. Under the trade name Afilan®, we design tailor made products for your application to achieve high lubricity, boundary lubrication, static protection, and permanent surface modification. Sophisticated laboratory equipment is used for the characterization and testing of the new developments from the frictional properties to the smoke behavior on high temperature. Evaluation of the products at technical scale are achieved with leading manufacturers of machinery for man – made fibers like Saurer and Rieter. |
